Job Title: Admin Assistant (Part-time)

Location: Alness

Hours: 15 hours per week

Salary: £15 an hour

The Role:

We are a small charity based in Alness seeking an Admin Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the charity, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Please note:  This is a self-employed post funded for 1 year

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide general administrative support to the charity, including filing, data entry, and handling correspondence

- Assist with organising and maintaining records and databases

- Help to coordinate and schedule meetings and events

- Assist with preparing and distributing communications, such as newsletters and updates

- Support fundraising activities and grant applications

- Assist with volunteer coordination and management

- Help to maintain the charity's social media presence and website

- Other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

 

Requirements:

 

- Previous experience in an administrative role

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of the charity sector is desirable but not essential

Job Title: Children's Support Worker

Location: Alness

Hours: Part-time (2 x 15 hour posts available)

Salary: £15 an hour

 

The Role:

We are a small charity dedicated to supporting children and families in need in Alness and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking two compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with children and families to provide emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance.

Please note:  This is a self-employed post funded for 1 year

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one support to children and young people facing challenges

- Help children build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience

- Assist with developing and implementing project plans for our services

- Organize and facilitate group activities and workshops for children

- Support children in accessing relevant services and resources

- Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided

 

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children and young people in a support capacity

- Understanding of child development and the challenges faced by children and families

- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills

- Ability to build positive relationships with children and their families

- Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures

- A relevant qualification in social work, youth work, or a related field is desirable but not essential
